Channelkirk Primary School

Channelkirk Primary School takes it's name from the Parish of Channelkirk. Schools have existed locally for many years. In 1855 a new school was built on the current site, which consisted of one room. In 1874, another room was added. By the 1970's, the school was struggling for space and two portacabins were brought here. In November 1991, the original building was extended and modernised for children and staff to move into a year later.

Our building now constists of two classrooms, a general purpose hall, a staffroom, kitchen, toilets and storage cupboards. The portacabin houses the Early Learning and Child Care for 3 and 4 year old children as well as a general purpose room, used for music, drama and other activities.
